                               PROCRASTINATION: THE THIEF OF LIFE

Procrastination as widely believed is a thief of time but on a deeper level I think I will like to call it a thief of life itself.
By definition procrastination is the practice of carrying out less urgent tasks in preference to more urgent ones, or doing more pleasurable things in place of less pleasurable ones, and thus putting off impending tasks to a later time, sometimes to the "last minute" before the deadline. [Wikipedia]

The statement "putting off impending tasks to a latter time, sometimes last minute" is worthy of note. In my years of relating with people I have come to realize that the main reason people have not ascended into the next phase of their lives in any area is not just about lack of knowledge of what to do but doing what they already know at the right time.
Sounds quite unbelievable? o yes, I have found that to be true.
What people lack usually to forge ahead is the inertia.
Sometimes ago lack of information used to be the problem but we are now in the age of information, you find information almost everywhere, be it on the internet or even on the street.
Permit me to give some instances: many of you probably reading this know that its good to start your day with a glass of water and do exercise consistently to promote good health and long life, how many people are actually doing it?
I've met many poor people who can describe in details how you can make millions daily in a country like Nigeria yet they have nothing doing and they remain poor, unemployed youths teaching people  how to be self employed, politicians telling us the problems and solutions before they get into power but on getting there they become part of the problem, people with unsettled homes yet teaching others how to make your marriage work. The list is endless!
The challenge to you is this, would you be among those who constantly receive information from different sources and do nothing about it or keep postponing what to do until life itself passes over them or would you be among the very few who will run with the information they have until they make a difference in their generation?
Remember, someone described poor as Passing Over Opportunities Repeatedly.
I understand that we have quite large number of ignorant people out there however its more disappointing to know that many who actually know the right thing to do are not doing them.
Check yourself please. Are there things you know are right and you are not doing?
True transformation starts from sincere evaluation, its not too late, start doing something today!
Did I hear you say you don't know what to do? ask? you have the information all around you. Though you have to be wary of the sources of your information so that you are not misdirected.
Pushing important things to a later time (procrastination) indeed is a THIEF OF LIFE,AVOID IT!!!

Do you have any thing bothering you? feel free to ask me, I promise to help out as much as I can.
see you at the top......TILL WE ARE ALL TRANSFORMED

Join me in the next episode as I continue by discussing reasons why we procrastinate and how to avoid them. See you guys.
