MY FRIEND FRANK

TRIBUTE TO MY FRIEND OKOLI EMEKA FRANK AS HE CELEBRATES HIS BIRTHDAY

I may not have money or gifts to shower on you today but permit me to say the little I know about you here as a token of appreciation
What a friend I met in you Emeka, I never  knew we will go this far when we first met, little did I know that it was a destiny friend I met not just an acquaintance.
You will always show up whenever I needed a friend, you stood with me in times of crises, you kept giving me hope when I have even lost hope on matters that matter.
You encouraged me till I was strengthened when I needed to deal with difficult tasks, you have taken the courage to correct me in things every other person seems to avoid.
You did not just accept me with my weaknesses but have contributed immensely (even at your detriment)  to making me become a better person in those areas.
You have cheered me up to make life changing decision.
You are a real friend indeed, your input in my life can never and will never be underestimated.
You have taught me that regardless of how big you are, your real friends must never be afraid of confronting you when you are wrong.
You have taught me that friendship is not just about applauding each other deceitfully even when it was obvious that all was not well.
What a very down to earth guy: applauds you when you deserve it, frowns at you when you also deserve it.
You took it on yourself to make up for my lapses in friendship.
You told me over and over that whatever difficulty I'm going through we are in it together!
You have taught me the true meaning and essence of friendship.
Yes we have had our disagreements but that has only succeeded in strengthening our friendship.
Kind, loving, intelligent, smart, innovative, diligent, honest, responsible, Godly, husband of a favoured woman ( HELLO MARY!!!)....... to mention but a few.
Time and chance will not permit me to say everything about you here.

I wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MANY HAPPY RETURNS, LONG LIFE AND PROSPERITY.
May God's blessing fill you and rest on all you lay your hands upon from now on and forever.....AMEN
LOVE YOU SO MUCH MY GUY.

DR WILLIAMS.

                         …..BENEFITS OF WATER

Puts You in a Good Mood – When the body is functioning at its best, you will feel great and be happy! Everyone like to feel good you know.

Helps Digestion (repeated):-   Indigestion can make you so uncomfortable but luckily drinking enough water to the colon which helps make the content move smoothly.

                                  ACTION TIME

Here’s how to keep yourself hydrated: Start by drinking a glass of water as soon as you wake up, and 30 - 45 minutes before eating any big meal. (This will even help control your appetite).

Get used to the  habit of keeping a bottle of water close to you at all times.  Before you know it, all the benefits of water will be right at your fingertips…. and in your body.

Your body needs more water when you are:

Do this over the next few days or weeks and let me have your feedback okay.

Truly yours,

Dr Williams.

BENEFITS OF WATER (CONTD)

Hello friends,

I do hope you found the earlier information very useful and you have started the water therapy already…

If not what exactly are you waiting for?  Even if you think it wouldn’t work at least you know it wouldn’t kill!!!

Trying it out isn’t a bad idea I guess, its free, very affordable and accessible. Use it and let’s share the water testimony together. Remember, your good health is paramount to me. You deserve to live in good health or what do you think?

Now just before we continue from where we stopped our last discussion, don’t forget the business opportunity I told you about, time waits for no one. I bet you don’t want to miss that life time opportunity of changing your financial destiny. Did you just say you don’t know about it? Check my previous articles and you will get the information.

                  HAPPY READING

Flushes Out Toxins – Gets rid of waste materials through our sweat and urine and by this reduces the risk of kidney stones and urinary tract infections.

Nothing toxic does the body any good so the more the water you drink (not excessive please) the more toxins are being flushed away the healthier you become.

Improves Skin Texture  It moisturizes your skin, keeps it fresh, soft, glowing and smooth.  It gets rid of wrinkles. It might just be one the best anti-aging natural treatment that’s very accessible especially if you don’t have the fortune to spend on beauty products.

Aids Digestion        Water is essential to digest your food and prevents constipation.

Boosts Immune System/ Sickness fighter  Drinking plenty of water helps fight against flu and other ailments.  Water may help with decongestion  and will of course rehydration, helping the body bounce back to life.

Please note that drinking water alone has no scientific backing of curing colds so please don’t replace this with your doctor’s prescription (I must not lose my job as a Dr remember?)

Natural Headache Remedy – Helps relieve and prevent headaches (migraines & back pains too!) which are commonly caused by dehydration. I'm sure you must have had episodes of headaches in the past.

Prevents Cramps & Sprains - Proper hydration helps keep joints lubricated and muscles more elastic so joint pain is less likely.

 ...........to be continued.

    Benefits of Drinking Water!!!

You won’t believe water could be this beneficial, so easy to get, gotten free from God and yet so underestimated in terms of it's power and efficacy.

Is it not surprising that actually your brain is about 75%-85% water!!!

Your body is about 60% water, the major content of your blood is water and every cell in your body has a large proportion of water.

Now believing you need water to function properly should not be a problem anymore (or you still trouble believing?)
As a matter of fact drinking water is very essential to your health.
Apparently, the well known suggestion of drinking up to 8 glasses of water a day was probably just an advice and not so much based on based on clinical evidence/studies.

The volume of water we need per day seems controversial however studies suggest adults need about 8- 16 cups of water. This number would vary depending on activity level, age, and how much water we consume in other foods.

DEHYDRATION is the term used when you do not have enough water in your system or better still when your water output (like sweating, urination & respiration) is more than your input.

Listed below are some of the benefits of drinking water regularly:

Drinking Water Helps Maintain the Balance of Body Fluids- Your body is composed of about 60% water. The functions of these bodily fluids include digestion, absorption, circulation, formation of saliva, movement of nutrients (both macro and micro) and maintenance of body temperature.

Boosts Mental Energy & Relieves Fatigue – Since your brain is mostly water, drinking it helps you think, focus and concentrate better and be more alert. As an added bonus, your energy levels are also boosted!

A link between students bringing water into an exam room and better grades was found by some studies (source not verified), suggesting water might  promote clearer thinking. While for me it’s difficult to say if drinking water had anything to do with a better score, however I don’t think it’s a bad idea to try (since it wouldn’t cost much)

Promotes Weight Loss – Removes by-products of fat, reduces eating intake (by filling up your stomach if taken before meals), reduces hunger, raises your metabolism and of course you are not adding more calories by taking water! Moreover, it's an open secret that dietary lifestyle has contributed so much to the weight problems we have today.

CONCLUDING PART ( WHY WE PROCRASTINATE AND HOW TO AVOID THEM)

3. FAILUR AT FIRST TRIAL:   For many people who have summoned enough courage to start something this is usually their discouraging point, many who started with much enthusiasm and energy has broken down at this point and to be candid it could be very discouraging.
I have experienced it personally and I know how it feels, this however is not enough excuse to remain redundant.
Consider the former president of the United States; Abraham Lincoln who lost at many levels but eventually became the president of the States. Thomas Edison who invented bulb made 1000 mistakes before getting it right. If these people have lost hope and given up can you imagine America not abolishing slave trade or the world without electric bulb!!!
You must learn NEVER TO GIVE UP.
"SUCCESS SEEMS TO BE CONNECTED WITH ACTION, SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE KEEP MOVING, THEY MAKE MISTAKES BUT THEY DONT QUIT" - Conrad Hilton

4.  WRONG INFLUENCE: " Those who would not do should not disturb those who want to do"- Chinese proverb
In your sojourn in life you will always meet some people called pessimist, they will almost always release negative impulses anytime you find them. To them nothing good is ever possible.
See, one of the reasons I believe we have two legs is to run away from things/people who can harm us. In short AVOID THEM!!!
Let me tell you my strategy; I try my best to change them. Some make adjustment but those I cannot change ( because I'm not GOD) I simply avoid them.
If you stay long around them I can promise you that they will affect you negatively heavily. Their words, posture and attitude could be very influential.
My advice: FLOCK AROUND LIKE MINDED PEOPLE

DARE TO STAND OUT AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!

                    HEY GUYS I'M BACK!!!

I'm sorry I skipped some days, trust me it couldn't have been intentional. It was due to reasons beyond my control, I promise that such would not be a regular occurrence.
But wait …… sincerely I’ve missed you.

Hope the previous articles have been very helpful. Comments and questions are well appreciated.

I remember I started a write up on procrastination……………… if you have missed it you can go and check my previous posts. You wouldn’t wanna miss the gist .

So here I come:   PROCRASTINATION   {CONTD}

REASONS WHY YOU PROCASTINATE AND HOW TO AVOID THEM

Having seen how much harm procrastination can cause to our lives ( from our last episode),
now its time to forge ahead in our quest to demystify procrastination completely . Why do we actually procrastinate? can it be avoided?

1.                   "GOOD EXCUSES" :   Many times our reasons for not taking a step further are excuses, whether  reasonable or not. Permit me to use this statement by one of my leaders on campus (Funmi Abodunde) -  ONLY FOOLS MAKE EXCUSES.

You must learn to break that barrier of making excuses for not doing what is right. Know this, regardless of how good or reasonable your excuse is there is always a way out of that problem. If you try to exhaust all the possibilities more often than not you will find a way out. Stop indulging in excuses.

Be a goal getter, break that barrier, break that limit. Behind every excuse there is always a door of opportunity, dare to enter that door.

Every achiever that you see today once had an excuse not to do what he/she did that fetched  the success. Stop the excuse, make the effort, EXCUSE YOURSELF FROM THE GENERAL EXCUSE!!!

2.                   WAITING FOR THE BEST/RIGHT TIME:      I have a news for you; whether good or bad you decide. If you are waiting for the right / best time it might never come.

Some life changing opportunities occur once in a life time and after that it ceases whether temporarily or permanently . Many times such will show up when conditions seems unfavourable.

Luck they say is when opportunity meets with preparation, that’s why the importance of good preparation before opportunity surfaces can never be overestimated.

If procrastination is an issue in your life I think your slogan should be JUST DO IT (mind you I am not advertising for NIKE O).

When opportunity appears and you have the right impulse, JUST DO IT. You don’t have to wait until all the conditions are stable, it might never be.

GO FOR IT, the worst that could happen is that you will fail and if it happens its not the end of life. People who have made indelible marks in their path of life have made mistakes, no successful man in any endeavour will deny this fact.

GET UP NOW and do something, right time is no time, when you take the first step nature has a way of creating the next for you until you reach your destination.

I understand that before you take sensitive/giant steps you are supposed to take necessary precautions (which is STRONGLY ADVICED) however this should not be an excuse to remain stagnant for eternity.

Do a feasibility studies, seek the necessary counsel, avoid possible pot holes, take precautions then JUST DO IT.

....to be continued.

Less I forget , I promise to deliver a cutting edge information on businesses that can transform lives. There’s one hot information cooking. Please stay tuned.
it’s a once in a life time opportunity.  DON’T MISS IT, GETTING SUCH BACK MIGHT BE HIGHLY DIFFICULT IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE…..
comments are highly appreciated, thanks.

success tip

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE VIRUS CALLED EBOLA

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE VIRUS CALLED EBOLA

The current Ebola epidemic has caused more than 1400 deaths this year alone in at least 5 west African countries namely Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Senegal.
WHO says more than 20 000 people could be infected before the outbreak can be brought under control. The phobia generated by this could be curtailed by a better understanding of the virus and the disease it causes, as we speak now in Nigeria it seems the fear  of Ebola is the beginning of wisdom.
Ebola is one of the viruses that cause the group of diseases called Viral Haemorhagic fever.

Lets start by getting down the history lane.
The virus was named after Ebola river valley in Zaire where the first outbreak was discovered in 1976. There are four out of the five known sources that can cause disease in humans and all these four are African in origin :Zaire, Sudan, Cote d’ Ivoire and Uganda. The fifth which is not known to cause disease in human is Reston Ebola virus and it has origin in the  Philippines .

The recent outbreak in west Africa is caused by Zaire Ebola virus ( according to CDC) and its spread by direct contact (broken skin or mucous membranes) with blood and body fluids (urine, semen, saliva and vomitus) of someone who is already sick of Ebola or objects that have been contaminated with the virus.
In Nigeria , there’s possibility of contact through handling or eating of bush meat( e. g bats) although this is currently a controversial issue even among  experts.
Its not known to be transmitted by air, water,  food or “spirits”.

Ebola is unique in the sense that it has features with which it evades the ‘ immune  defense’, its initial presentation makes it like any other disease out there such as typhoid, malaria, gastroenteritis etc.  and consequently wrong treatment is almost inevitable except during epidemic.
The initial symptoms include acute fever, intense weakness, severe muscle pain, sore throat and headache.
This is followed by vomiting ( possibly blood), diarrhea, rash and impaired organ function.
If its diagnosed early enough, with appropriate intervention cure is still likely between  6-11 days.

Allow me to explain in lay man’s language how this deadly virus causes harm to humanity.
It gets into the system under a disguise and so evades the  arrest by immunity (the body soldiers). Once its already established in the system,  it systematically and gradually deactivates the body’s immunity and therefore continues to destroy body cells recklessly  unchallenged causing cells to explode and consequently die.

Suddenly the immunity realizes its being   over run/ cheated “419ed” so it begins a last minute fight  by releasing all its arsenal into the body system (cytokine storm), this is what affects internal organs which is what makes the person bleed internally and externally, vomiting and diarrhea too occur which leads to severe low blood pressure. Ultimately this is what leads to death. Death typically occurs between 6-16 days.
TREATMENT:     As of today there is no known drug that cures Ebola so please don’t be deceived.

However there are drugs used in treating the condition,  such drugs  (e.g. zMapp) are meant to suppress the cytokine storm (late immune aggressive reaction), aggressive supportive treatments such as fluid and electrolyte balancing , good oxygenation, prevention and treatment of primary and secondary infections, blood pressure control, analgesics, nutritional support, psycho therapy etc.
PREVENTION:    For the care givers, appropriate gown, gloves and facial masks should be used per each patient

For the general populace,  good hygiene is the key, using disinfectants containing chlorine in general household cleaning has been found helpful.

Ability to recognize the initial symptoms which seem to be sudden in onset will save lives,  however unreasonable panic should be avoided, not everyone having fever or the above named symptoms has Ebola infection or else the whole continent is in great trouble!!!

If you recognize the aforementioned symptoms in anybody, isolate the person, inform the ministry of health and report at the nearest hospital.

BE WISE- AVOID CONTACT!!!

I HOPE THIS HAS BEEN FOUND HELPFUL, questions and comments would be welcomed

                               PROCRASTINATION: THE THIEF OF LIFE

Procrastination as widely believed is a thief of time but on a deeper level I think I will like to call it a thief of life itself.
By definition procrastination is the practice of carrying out less urgent tasks in preference to more urgent ones, or doing more pleasurable things in place of less pleasurable ones, and thus putting off impending tasks to a later time, sometimes to the "last minute" before the deadline. [Wikipedia]

The statement "putting off impending tasks to a latter time, sometimes last minute" is worthy of note. In my years of relating with people I have come to realize that the main reason people have not ascended into the next phase of their lives in any area is not just about lack of knowledge of what to do but doing what they already know at the right time.
Sounds quite unbelievable? o yes, I have found that to be true.
What people lack usually to forge ahead is the inertia.
Sometimes ago lack of information used to be the problem but we are now in the age of information, you find information almost everywhere, be it on the internet or even on the street.
Permit me to give some instances: many of you probably reading this know that its good to start your day with a glass of water and do exercise consistently to promote good health and long life, how many people are actually doing it?
I've met many poor people who can describe in details how you can make millions daily in a country like Nigeria yet they have nothing doing and they remain poor, unemployed youths teaching people  how to be self employed, politicians telling us the problems and solutions before they get into power but on getting there they become part of the problem, people with unsettled homes yet teaching others how to make your marriage work. The list is endless!
The challenge to you is this, would you be among those who constantly receive information from different sources and do nothing about it or keep postponing what to do until life itself passes over them or would you be among the very few who will run with the information they have until they make a difference in their generation?
Remember, someone described poor as Passing Over Opportunities Repeatedly.
I understand that we have quite large number of ignorant people out there however its more disappointing to know that many who actually know the right thing to do are not doing them.
Check yourself please. Are there things you know are right and you are not doing?
True transformation starts from sincere evaluation, its not too late, start doing something today!
Did I hear you say you don't know what to do? ask? you have the information all around you. Though you have to be wary of the sources of your information so that you are not misdirected.
Pushing important things to a later time (procrastination) indeed is a THIEF OF LIFE,AVOID IT!!!

Do you have any thing bothering you? feel free to ask me, I promise to help out as much as I can.
see you at the top......TILL WE ARE ALL TRANSFORMED

Join me in the next episode as I continue by discussing reasons why we procrastinate and how to avoid them. See you guys.
